ENSA Seguros de Angola is Angola’s largest insurance company, founded in 1978. Historically the only insurer in the country, ENSA today competes in a multi-insurer market while retaining the largest market share by gross written premium. It is supervised by ARSEG and remains state-owned, with restructuring and partial-divestiture discussions periodically advanced under the PROPRIV program.
