The Lobito Atlantic Corridor is the most strategically significant logistics project on Africa’s Atlantic coast. Backed by US, EU, and World Bank co-financing, it transforms Lobito’s deep-water port into the natural Atlantic export route for cobalt and copper from the DRC and Zambia.
Layered on top: the rehabilitation of the Benguela Railway (CFB), the new António Agostinho Neto International Airport with 15M passenger capacity and A380-ready infrastructure, and the planned Airport City. Air connectivity expanded sharply in 2025 with TAAG’s full international relocation to AIA and direct service from Lufthansa, TAP, Air France, Emirates, Qatar, Turkish, and Ethiopian.
